Julie, Our Mascot

Julie, our toy poodle mascot quickly became a team member of SilverFox Veterinary Medical Centre from every Monday to Friday.

After being adopted by our technician, Julia in 2022 from an ailing client, our beloved furry friend with her loving demeanor naturally took the role of our staff emotional support pet.

We’ve really felt fortunate to have found this veterinary hospital. Initially we went to them with our lab who was excessively losing weight. We tried three other vets over the course of a year and no one was able to help him. This vet office (Dr.Pickering in particular) tried everything under the sun to help him out. We finally got to the root of the problem and the dog started putting weight back on. A few months later and he now looks great! I also had a puppy choke on hay and they were quick to squeeze us in for X-rays and to make sure the whole obstruction was cleared. They’re so kind and caring and always follow up about the animals. Dr. Pickering and Dr. Sharp are wonderful, caring human beings. Our beloved Wally didn’t get to see them very often before he became too Sick to continue in this life. But we did see them a few times and they were very kind and took us in quickly when it was an emergency, looking after our boy until his end.I can’t thank them enough for making his last moments with us and in this life as comfortable as they did. I know he was comfortable and felt loved. ❤️

I have been to many vets to figure out what is wrong with my little Jake. Dr. Pickering is the best vet ever. She shows care and concern to each of my 3 babies. I would certainly give this clinic a 10/10. I live in Moncton but it is well worth the drive for the amazing care my babies get. Definitely recommend the team here with my animals. All of my pets have gone here over the years since we lived in Salisbury. Years ago they helped me with the hard decision to put my 21 year old cat down due to his medical issues. It was a hard choice but the right one for Tigger. Dr Darcie Sharpe was kind and caring during the whole ordeal. Also both my other cats Midnight and Merlin , both rescue cats see either Dr Sharpe or Dr Kristi Pickering. Both of these vets are amazing and kind. The vet techs are great too as well as the receptionist Kim. Both my dogs go here too. Any issue I have had with my Shitzu Fergie was always addressed quickly and professionally. He has a urinary issue that requires a special diet and regular check ups and they are always great with him. He also had an accident and had to have an eye removed which was traumatizing for him and so hard for me to handle but the whole team here were amazing to me and to Fergie. My bigger dog Rusty has seen both of the female vets mentioned above and they are both great with him. Most recently Rusty my bigger guy was seen as a follow up from seeing the Amherst vet while I was on vacation in ns and Rusty needed to be seen due to getting into it with a porcupine. Dr Kristi Pickering and team were efficient and friendly with reasonable prices to get the quills that remained in his paw and his nose. Thank you to the team here for dealing with my beloved pets. From Melanie and Shawn and our pets Fergie and Rusty the dogs and the kitties Midnight and Merlin , we all thank you. Keep up the great work. You are all wonderful. Most definitely recommend.

Caring, Kind, reasonable and quality care.Have now dealt with all 3 Vets and each are awesome. Have recommended friends use this office, and they were satisfied. Support staff friendly and caring and good stock on special foods. Highly recommend! My dog and Cat don’t even flinch going here.....now if they did large animal I would bring my horse!

The staff are truly wonderful and always willing to work with me to set up appointments dr Darcie Sharp is held in high regard by my husband and myself for the amazing care she offered to our 17 yr old Lhasa apso. She provided a great quality of life in our dogs final months. She continues to give dedicated care to our 17 year old shih tzu. And our 8 yr old shih tzu. Her diagnosis and course of treatment for any issues has been spot on! I hope we are fortunate in keeping this amazing staff at the silver fox vet for a very long time!
