The doctors behind the medicine
Independently owned and led by veterinarians who practice the full range of care — from wellness to advanced surgery.

Dr. Tanya Perry
A native of Nova Scotia, Dr. Tanya Perry's connection to animals began early and has remained a constant throughout her life. From pet sitting and working in animal shelters to roles as a veterinary assistant, farm worker, and laboratory animal caretaker, her path into veterinary medicine was shaped by years of hands-on experience—and by learning early that compassion, curiosity, and a strong work ethic go a long way.
She completed her Bachelor of Science and Doctor of Veterinary Medicine at the Atlantic Veterinary College in Prince Edward Island before heading to Connecticut, where she spent over 20 years in a busy general and emergency practice. There, she developed a steady hand, a calm presence under pressure, and a particular love for surgery—especially complex soft tissue and orthopedic procedures. She enjoys the challenge, the precision, and the ability to quite literally "fix things," directly improving a patient's quality of life through hands-on care.
Now back in the Maritimes, Dr. Perry is grateful to be closer to family and part of a small-town community where familiar faces and lasting relationships are at the heart of veterinary care. She values building trust with her clients and supporting both pets and their people through every stage of life.
At home, she shares her life with her twin daughters, Charlotte and Danielle, and a menagerie of pets, embracing the chaos of a very full (and very furry/feathered) household.

Dr. Kristi Pickering
Dr. Kristi Pickering graduated from the Atlantic Veterinary College (AVC) in 2015. From a young age, she knew she wanted to become a veterinarian and has been dedicated to that goal ever since. Following graduation, she completed a small animal internship at AVC, where she developed a strong interest in internal medicine, dermatology, and surgery.
Dr. Pickering enjoys the diversity of general practice and especially values building lasting relationships with clients and their beloved pets. After moving to the Salisbury area with her family, she quickly fell in love with the community. She is proud to be a co-owner of Silverfox Veterinary Hospital alongside Dr. Perry and is committed to providing compassionate, high-quality care for years to come.
Outside of the clinic, Dr. Pickering enjoys spending time outdoors with her husband and daughter, along with their lively household of two dogs, a mini pig, and five hens.

Dr. Megan Turple
Dr. Megan Turple graduated from the Atlantic Veterinary College in 2018. Following graduation, she relocated to New Brunswick where she has resided ever since.
Originally from Middle Sackville, Nova Scotia, Dr. Turple has a deep-seated passion for animals that developed naturally at very young age. After loving several volunteer positions working with animals, it was an easy decision to move towards a career in veterinary medicine.
Dr. Turple's favourite part of working in veterinary medicine is getting to witness the strength of the human-animal bond each day.
Her special areas of interest include preventative medicine as well as general surgery. Dr. Turple also has a passion for providing thoughtful, end of life care and has completed her CAETA certification (Certified Peaceful Euthanasia Veterinarian).
Outside of work, Dr. Turple enjoys baking and spending time with her husband and two children. Her fur family includes a dog named Stella and two cats named Pepperoni and Pickles.
The team who make it feel like home
The people you'll see at every visit — skilled, familiar, and here because they love what they do.

Julie, Our Mascot
Julie, our toy poodle mascot quickly became a team member of Silver Fox Veterinary Medical Centre from every Monday to Friday.
After being adopted by our technician, Julia in 2022 from an ailing client, our beloved furry friend with her loving demeanor naturally took the role of our staff emotional support pet.

Pepper
Meet our clinic cat 🐾
Don't let her senior status fool you — this girl still has plenty of sass, spunk, and personality! She's a playful lady who knows exactly what she wants and isn't afraid to let everyone know it. A true diva at heart, she enjoys being admired, getting attention on her terms, and making sure things around the clinic are up to her standards.
She's settled comfortably into her role as one of the clinic's most important team members. She may be a senior, but she's still young at heart and always ready to remind us who really runs the show around here!
We wouldn't have it any other way. ❤️🐱

Julia Rocha
Since I can remember, becoming a veterinarian has always been my dream. I grew up surrounded by animals, spending much of my childhood at my grandfather's farm with pigs, horses, chickens, and ducks. I loved them all so much that I even brought chicks and baby frogs back to my parents' apartment in the city—much to my family's surprise!
Having a dog of my own was always my biggest wish, but my father was hesitant because we lived in a small apartment. Eventually, when I was 13, he gave in—and that's when Catita, our black and tan dachshund, joined our family. She was my first dog and will always hold a special place in my heart.
As I grew older, my passion for animals continued to grow. I began horseback riding lessons, eventually owning my own horse and competing in jumping events for several years. In 2004, I took the next step toward my dream by starting veterinary school in Brazil, my home country. I graduated in 2008 and began working with small animals soon after.
Although Brazil is a vibrant and beautiful country, safety concerns led my husband, Felipe Rocha, and me to make the life-changing decision to move to Canada in 2018, along with our two dogs and one cat. We settled in Moncton and began rebuilding our lives from scratch. I worked as a waitress while Felipe worked as a cook in the same restaurant. It was not easy, but we were determined and knew it was part of our journey.
In 2020, during the challenges of the pandemic, I had the opportunity to join Silverfox Veterinary as a veterinary technician. From the very beginning, the team welcomed me with kindness and support, and they have become like family to me. I am deeply grateful for the opportunity to do what I love every day.
In 2022, we proudly became Canadian citizens. Along the way, we experienced both joy and loss—we said goodbye to two beloved pets who were part of our journey. But we also welcomed a very special addition to our family: Julie, our clinic mascot and my soulmate dog, who many of our clients already know and love.

Paige Mainville
Paige has had a lifelong passion for animals and always knew she wanted a career where she could help care for them. Growing up, she moved around quite a bit, living in Newfoundland and Alberta before eventually settling in Oromocto, New Brunswick, where she completed high school. She later moved to Moncton to attend Oulton College where she graduated from the Veterinary Technician program in 2021 and has been working in the field ever since.
As a veterinary technician, she enjoys the hands-on aspects of patient care, especially laboratory work, dentistry, and diagnostics. In 2023, she completed an ultrasound course, which added to her interest and skills in diagnostic imaging. One of her favourite parts of the job is earning the trust of nervous and anxious patients and helping them feel calm, comfortable, and confident throughout their visit.
Outside of work, Paige spends most of her time with her animals, which include her two dogs, Rorilai and Odin, three cats, Ginger, Baxter, and Pitoune, and even a fish named Viscous. In her free time, she enjoys hiking with her dogs, relaxing at home cuddling with her cats, and getting lost in a good book.

Cindy Saurette-Cormier
Cindy grew up in Colpitts Settlement and always had cats and dogs and rabbits growing up. She knew that she wanted to work with animals at a young age. She graduated from Oulton College in 2009 as a veterinary technician. After successfully writing her veterinary national exam, she became a registered veterinary technician (RVT).
Cindy started with our practice in 2019 and is very happy working in the Salisbury and Petitcodiac community.
Cindy lives with her husband, daughter, 3 cats (Tidders, Diamond and Baby Blue) and a dog named Sugar. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her family, cooking, foraging, gardening, camping and Qigong.

Jaylin Watson
Growing up on a farm surrounded by a wide variety of animals, Jaylin developed a deep love and appreciation for animal care at a young age. From the very beginning, she always knew she wanted to work with animals, and that passion naturally led her to pursue a career in veterinary medicine. She graduated from Oulton College in 2023 as a Veterinary Technician.
Since graduating, Jaylin has been a dedicated member of the team at SilverFox Veterinary Hospital, where she enjoys building relationships with both clients and their pets. While she misses life back home on the farm, she has grown to truly love the welcoming community of Salisbury.
Jaylin is passionate about caring for all animals, but has a well-known soft spot for Border Collies and is proudly "Border Collie obsessed." She also jokes that she's well on her way to becoming a future cat lady. Outside of the clinic, she enjoys spending time outdoors, especially going on hikes with her dog.

Kim Steeves
I have been a dedicated member of the team at Silverfox Veterinary Medical Center since 2002, where I work in reception. I truly enjoy connecting with our clients and their pets, and take pride in helping create a welcoming and caring environment for everyone who walks through our doors. Over the years, my coworkers have become like family—we share laughter, support each other through challenges, and celebrate the moments that make our work so meaningful.
My love for animals began in childhood, when I often brought stray pets home to care for. That passion stayed with me, and later in life I formed a special bond with a young horse that became a cherished companion for 28 years. Today, my husband and I share our home with our dog, Pepe, and our cat, Dusty, who bring so much joy and love into our lives.
Family is at the heart of everything I do. My husband and I are incredibly proud of our children and grandchildren, and we treasure every moment spent together.
Outside of work, I enjoy camping, skidooing, biking, and spending time with friends.

Alexis Jacob
Since I was little, I have always loved animals, especially cats. Growing up, I always had cats and also owned a horse, which helped strengthen my passion for animal care. I currently live in Salisbury and hope to become a veterinarian in the future.
I am a high school student and in 2025, I applied for a summer position at the clinic to learn what daily life in a veterinary clinic was like. Through that experience, I discovered how much I truly enjoyed the environment and working with animals and their owners. It confirmed that veterinary medicine is the career path I want to pursue.
